Talk about NFL highlights and disasters.
Who are your favorite Football (American) Teams!?!?!
Well, I'm a huge fan of the Jacksonville Jaguars and I would love to know what teams tickle your pickle!Well, post away and have fun everybody!
Why is it that people of importance get lesser sentences than normal people?
My dad sent me this article about Matt Jones who is a football player for the Jacksonville Jaguars. He is up on drug charges and they are going to show him all kinds of leniency. First, they are not going to try him in criminal court--they will try him in Drug court so it won't be on his record and then they won't make him do the drug rehab in Arkansas where the infraction occured. They will continue to let him play football and do his community service and rehab there. I don't think this is right. I think everyone should be treated the same in the court system (he had more than one offense--his first trial was postponed because he was caught with cocaine a second time). Is this guy any example to show our children? What do you think about this? Here is the link to the articlehttp://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3631894 (not a referral link--link to a news article)
This is so sad...
A few weeks ago, one of the Jacksonville Jaguars players was shot while he was sitting in his car with a friend. He had multiple gun shot wounds. Because of this, he is paralised from the waste down and they had to amputate part of his leg. His football career is over. This is so very sad. I don't know why people have to be so hateful to shoot others. They don't know what the motive is and have not arrested anyone yet. There is much too much violence in this world today.

Bengals can't dwell on first shutout in 17 years
CINCINNATI (AP) -- Suddenly, the Cincinnati Bengals are back in the middle of the playoff chase, revived by one of the rarest of accomplishments. The NFL's worst defense produced a shutout. The Bengals pulled off their first shutout in 17 years on Sunday, a 30-0 victory in Cleveland -- the last team they blanked -- that left them with newfound confidence heading into their biggest game of the season. Cincinnati (6-5) plays at home Thursday night against Baltimore (9-2), which can take the AFC North championship with a win. "For the defense, with a lot of guys playing in positions they're not used to playing, to get four turnovers and a big shutout is huge for us, for momentum and confidence, going into another big division game this week," quarterback Carson Palmer said. Holding an opponent's offense to average numbers has been a noteworthy accomplishment for Cincinnati's defense, which ranked last in the league in yards allowed heading into the game in Cleveland. The Bengals gave up 42 points in the second half of a 49-41 loss to San Diego, then nearly 600 yards in a 31-16 win in New Orleans. In those two games, the defense seemed to be starting...

Buffalo 27, Jacksonville 24
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) -- From awful to awesome: In a matter of weeks, J.P. Losman has taken the bumble and stumble out of the Buffalo Bills' offense. Delivering on the patience his coaches and teammates have provided him all season long, the second-year starter produced his second straight last-minute, game-winning drive in a 27-24 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. The Jaguars, meanwhile, continued their bewildering inconsistency. Showing poise in avoiding the rush, Losman stepped up in the pocket and threaded a perfect pass to Roscoe Parrish, who kept both toes inbounds at the left sideline for a 30-yard catch. Two plays later, Rian Lindell hit a 42-yard field goal as time ran out. The last-minute dramatics came a week after Losman hit Peerless Price for a 15-yard touchdown with 9 seconds left in a 24-21 win at Houston. This was an equally clutch performance, with Lindell's field goal coming 28 seconds after the Jaguars tied the game when David Garrard hit Matt Jones for a 3-yard touchdown pass. "You have to call it momentum," said Losman, who finished 21-of-28 for 169 yards passing. "We're feeling really, really tight." That's...
Bills RB McGahee returns to lineup
Bills running back Willis McGahee was back in the lineup when Buffalo hosted the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. McGahee missed the past two games after breaking three ribs in Buffalo's win over Green Bay on Nov. 5. He practiced all this week, but was listed as questionable coming into the game. McGahee, Buffalo's first-round draft pick in 2003, leads the Bills with 579 yards rushing. Backup running back Anthony Thomas accumulated 165 yards in the two games he replaced McGahee, including a 109-yard performance in the Bills' 17-16 loss at Indianapolis two weeks ago. McGahee is 46 yards away from 3,000 for his career. Bills receiver Josh Reed was inactive for the third straight week, and is still recovering from a bruised kidney sustained in the Green Bay game. Jacksonville starting cornerback Brian Williams missed his first game because of a hamstring injury. Williams, who signed with the Jaguars as a free agent this offseason, has one interception this season. Backup cornerback Terry Cousin also missed the game because of a groin injury. Rookie Dee Webb made his first career start in place of Williams. The losses further depleted a Jaguars...
