Talk about NFL highlights and disasters. | Ugh Terrell Owens to the Bills | | I am a huge Bills fan, and while I think TO will do great things for them, I just do not like him. He is a big baby, and a trouble maker. I hope he helps them, and does not hurt them.
| | Baltimore Ravens and Terrell Owens | | How would you feel if the Baltimore Ravens acquired Terrell Owens? Do you think it would be a good fit? The Ravens are in desperate need of a Big, Physical, Play Making Wr. Ray Lewis provides excellent stability in the locker room. They have a great run game, great defense, great special teams, great qb, the only thing they lack is a great WR. Can you imagine the Baltimore Ravens with a monster passing game? They could be the New Dynasty in football. Your thoughts on Terrell Owens as a Baltimore Raven. | |
| | Terrell Owens runs his mouth again! | | It has been reported that after the cowboya recent loss to the Pittsburg Steelers last sunday, that Terrell Owens accused Tony Romo of playing favorites with his wide recievers. Basicaly T.O says that Romo and the cowboys tight end jason Witten have private meetings coming up with plays to use during the game. T.O. is unhappy because he feels that all the offense should go through him. Does this guy destroy every team that he goes to? He can't keep his mouth shut at all. Look at the cowboys offense. They got Roy Jones from the lions, another stud reciever, Marion barber who's a beast at running back, and one of the games best tigh ends in Witten. A team with all that offensive power cannot rely on every single play to be designed for T.O. This guy is a spoiled brat, and he will never be satisfied where ever he plays! | |
| | | Terrell Owens of the Dallas Cowboys is PATHETIC!!! He spit in Hall's Face???? | | Okay T.O. is a jerk guys, no cowboy fan can defend him now. During tonight's football game it was reported that he spit in the guy (DeAngelo Hall of the Falcons) that was cover him's face. Hall addressed this in his post game speech. He said Owens had a good game, but he lost all respect for him and would never speak to him after Owens spit in his face. The broadcasters interviewed Owens after the game about this and Owens hemmed and hawed and said "I'm sorry, He was bothering me, he was in my face saying he shut me down last year, I had to put him in his place, so I spit in his face".The league has no option, they need to suspend him for the rest of the season, his actions are inhumane and show he has no ethics or morals! | |
| | Terrell Owens aka T.O. of the Cowboys | | Am I the only one in the planet who loves T.O. Not only is he a great Wide Receiver(looking athis whole career) but he is extremely entertaining. When I say I'm a TO fan people look at me crazy, but I am. Anyone else share my thoughts or am I seriously the only one? | |
| | Philadelphia (5-5) at Indianapolis (9-1) | |
A loss isn't expected to derail the Indianapolis Colts. It will be much tougher for the Philadelphia Eagles to overcome theirs. After their undefeated run came to an end, the Colts look to rebound Sunday night against an Eagles team that has lost star quarterback Donovan McNabb for the rest of the season. For the second straight year, Indianapolis (9-1) was the league's last unbeaten team. The Colts' run was brought to a halt last Sunday with a 21-14 loss at Dallas. "There's no pressure," Indianapolis coach Tony Dungy said. "I'd like to see us play well and win every game and play better than we did last year. One benefit is that we don't have to answer that question (about being undefeated) any more."
While the Colts may be able to relax a little now that an undefeated season is out of the question, the Eagles (5-5) are in a jam after McNabb tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee in last Sunday's 31-13 loss to Tennessee. The five-time Pro Bowl quarterback's season has ended early for the third time in five years. Jeff Garcia will replace McNabb, who is expected to be sidelined for at least eight months. "He's a great player,"...
| | WR Evans big game puts spark in Bills offense | |
As outbursts by NFL receivers go, Lee Evans' recent critique of the Buffalo Bills' offense barely registered on the T.O. Scale. Blaming himself as much as anyone else, and without singling out his teammates or coaches, the usually soft-spoken Evans last week called the sputtering unit "awful." It's what Evans did afterward that raised considerable attention. Backing up his words with his actions, Evans had a franchise-record 265 yards receiving and scored two touchdowns in a 24-21 win at Houston on Sunday. It was a performance that topped the Bills' former record of 255 yards set by Jerry Butler in 1979. Overall, it was the 11th best outing in NFL history -- and most since Terrell Owens had 283 yards with San Francisco in 2000. "It's still kind of hard to put into perspective," Evans said Wednesday after the team returned to practice in preparation for its game against Jacksonville this weekend. "It's kind of surreal to think about it. You can't really ever grasp it to realize exactly what you did." What Evans did was provide a spark to an offense in big need of one. His 265 yards receiving were more than the total yards Buffalo (4-6) had...
| | Cowboys hope to keep `Romo-mentum' going against Buccaneers | | When NFL and network scheduling mavens decided to have Tampa Bay play Dallas on Thanksgiving, they must have envisioned hyping the names Simms and Bledsoe and their shared connection, Cowboys coach Bill Parcells. Well, the game is here, and the quarterbacks aren't. Chris Simms (son of Phil, the MVP of Parcells' first Super Bowl team) is hurt. Drew Bledsoe (the starting quarterback in Parcells' most recent Super Bowl) is benched. Instead, the national television audience will watch a battle between Bruce Gradkowski and Tony Romo. In search of another promotional gimmick, how does Joey Galloway returning to Texas Stadium for the first time since being traded for Keyshawn Johnson grab you? Will you settle for Jon Gruden trying to spruce up his resume in case Jerry Jones is hiring this offseason? Although Gruden insists his club has loftier goals than trying to be a spoiler -- "We don't think of ourselves as a bunch of deadbeats," he said -- the best story line is the Buccaneers (3-7) trying to slow the "Romo-mentum" that's building around the Cowboys (6-4). Sparked by the new quarterback, Dallas has won two in a row and three of four.... | |
| | Double standard | | ANN ARBOR, Mich. – On Monday, Michigan coach Lloyd Carr stormed out of an interview session here with "ESPN on ABC," loudly uttering F-bombs and screaming about the direction interview questions had taken.
According to the Ann Arbor News it was one wild scene with a flipped-out coach, a "no comment" producer and a tense, in-front-of-the-camera clash just days before the titanic No. 1 Ohio State vs. No. 2 Michigan matchup.
Did you see the video on ESPN? Did you hear Lisa Salters report on the blowup on "SportsCenter"? Will the incident be debated ad nauseam on all of the network's afternoon rant-and-rave shows?
Of course not.
The whitewash, wall-to-wall coverage story of the day about an out-of-control college coach is once again one of ESPN's favorite whipping boys, Bob Knight, who Monday in an obscure game in Lubbock, Texas, knocked one his players, Michael Prince, on the chin because he wasn't paying attention to one of The General's legendary rants.
Knight long ago should have known better than to lay a hand on a player. He should have learned to control his emotions. He and Texas Tech should have expected the ensuing firestorm because, right or wrong, it is what...
