Would St. Louis Rams Really Take Sam Bradford With #1 Pick?
The St. Louis Rams taking Sam Bradford with the #1 pick is a story that's circulating, but I don't buy it. The Rams defense was ranked 32nd last year, that's last. Unfortunately, the offense wasn't much better, with a ranking of 31st. If the Rams pass on defensive tackle and consensus best player in the draft, Ndamukong Suh, I think Mel Kiper Jr. will propel himself out of the building. Bradford is coming off two shoulder injuries, and there will be free agent quarterbacks available, there won't be a player like Suh available in free agency or the draft.
St. Louis Rams Offseason
The Rams finished the 2006 season on a positive note winning their last games. What areas should coach Linehan would focus on this off season? For me the need to improve special team and to stop the run by the front seven.
MSNBC Admits: ‘Unable to Verify’ False Limbaugh Quote,MSNBC,CNN LIES!!!!
MSNBC admits they can not produce any proof to back up the lies about Rush Limbaugh being a racist,MSNBC was more then happy to help spread the lies to smear Rush Limbaugh but in the end it back fired on them all. MSNBC and other left wing Obama news media outlets did Rush a big favor he already is the giant of talk radio and has been for a very long time,Sean Hennity follows Rush being number two giant talk radio host now Rush is even greater and bigger thanks to the butt heads at MSNBC and the others bias media outlets. With two conservative giant radio talk host seem the American people are not interested in liberals propaganda? During the 3:00PM ET hour of live coverage on MSNBC Friday, co-host David Shuster admitted that racially charged quotes he and other hosts attributed to Rush Limbaugh had not been verified: “MSNBC attributed that quote to a football player who was opposed to Limbaugh’s NFL bid. However, we have been unable to verify that quote independently. So, just to clarify.” Shuster did not formally retract the quote or apologize. On Monday, Shuster revealed the supposed source of the false quote: “Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Farrior says...
Rush Limbaugh - NFL Owner???
Rush Limbaugh has apparently put in a bid to buy the St. Louis Rams. Apparently that doesn't sit well for some black NFL players who have vowed they'll never play for any team Limbaugh is associated with.http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/2009/10/09/2009-10-09_black_nfl_players_crush_prospect_of_playing_for_a_rush_limbaughowned_st_louis_ra.htmlFootball fans, how would you feel about this? If you're a Rams fan will you continue to be if Rush buys them? Will it make you root against them? If you were a player - of any race or color - would you play for him? Would this change in ownership help or hurt the Rams overall?Annie
Still Say This Is NOT a Political Issue?
When I previously posted about the possibility of Rush Limbaugh becoming an NFL owner and posted it in this interest, there were some who responded to tell me it wasn't a political issue. I put it in this interest because Rush is a political figure, so to speak. He's not an elected official but many would argue he IS a leader if not THE leader of the Republican party since if anyone dares say anything to hurt his little (?) feelings they end up kissing his feet as they apologize profusely. However, I DO get what they're saying...football is "sports", not politics. Believe it or not, it seems Rush and I are on the same side in this...OH NOOOOO!!! Below are some excerpts, in quotes, from an article which you can read by clicking (hopefully!) the link I've supplied"ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Conservative radio personality Rush Limbaugh lashed out at NFL union leader DeMaurice Smith, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and the media a day after being dropped from a group trying to buy the St. Louis Rams.": http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/2009/10/15/arts/AP-FBN-Rams-Limbaugh.html?_r=1"During a 15-minute counterattack at the start of his show, Limbaugh said he believes he's been made an...
Politics and Race In Sports: Rush Limbaugh
Do you think that the NFL should or shouldn't allow Rush Limbaugh to own and NFL team. If you're not familiar with the subject, Rush Limbaugh is a nationally syndicated radio talk show host that is known for his far right wing conservative view points. He has been publicly criticized in the past for making alleged racially insensitive comments about black players. Anyway, he's been in the news a lot this week because he has shown some interest in buying the St. Louis Rams football team in the NFL. After the announcement, many black players around the league have said that they wouldn't play for the Rams if he was the owner. The NFL and all other team owners have to approve of a new team owner before the buyer is allowed to purchase a team, and as of today, they have not given Rush the go-ahead to buy the team. I personally don't think that the NFL should be able to stop someone from buying a team if that's what he or she wants to do, as long as they don't have a criminal past and risk jeapordizing the team with the decisions they make. Rush has an honest and educated interest in Football, he was actually a member of the NFL discussion analysts on ESPN, which is when he made...
Animal Cruelty is acceptable, but Conservative politics isn't? ROFL
The National Football League pressured the partners of Rush Limbaugh to drop him from the team hoping to buy the St. Louis Rams. In typical liberal fashion, the partners complied. But this says much more about the leadership of the NFL than anyone else. Sure, they're willing to accept any gang banging thug who can play the game; Michael Vick's torturing of animals wasn't too much for them... but let a guy make a living in conservative talk and whoa... that's just too much to ask.Can you imagine the uproar if Kanye West or Michael Moore were told they couldn't buy something on the open market? The NFL has the right to decide who they will associate with... and they show their true colors here.NFL should be called the National Fellons League.
Rush Limbaugh - NFL Owner?
You've probably heard that right-wing talk show host Rush Limbaugh has put in a bid to purchase the St Louis Rams NFL team. At this point he and St. Louis Blues owner Dave Checketts, who is in on the bid with Limbaugh, "aren't thought to be the frontrunners". I wouldn't be surprised if he got it just the same because we all know that "money talks" and Rush likes to boast of his power. However, there are some football players who have vowed not to play for any team Limbaugh is associated with.http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/2009/10/09/2009-10-09_black_nfl_players_crush_prospect_of_playing_for_a_rush_limbaughowned_st_louis_ra.htmlI have a feeling the Rams may also lose a fair number of fans and possibly ticket and merchandise sales. What do you think? If you're a Rams fan will you continue to root for them if Rush Limbaugh becomes the owner? Will it cause you to root AGAINST them? If you were a player, how would you feel about playing for someone many believe is a racist?Annie

Rush trying to get back into the NFL
It was announced today that Rush Limbaugh and a group of investors are going to make an offer to purchase the St. Louis Rams. This isn't the first time that Limbaugh has been involved with the NFL, in 2003 he had a very brief stint on ESPN's NFL Pregame show. He left the show after he made comments about Eagles QB Donavon McNabb that some felt were racist, and put the NFL in a bad light. The NFL is very worried about it's public image, and has rules that could hurt this offer. What do you think of this?
