| | Fantasy Football | | It's that time of year again, unless your like I am, then it's always that time of year. It's time ot start grooming your scouting reports and making your cheat sheets for fantast football. I'd like to discuss a few subjects of interest to me over the next couple of weeks so let's begin. If I had to make a list of the Quarterbacks that can impact a fantasy team I'd have to start it with Peyton Manning. Year in year out he is Mr. Consistency. Looking at his numbers for over a decade makes him about the surest bet to be in the top 3 at his position. With a killer duo of wide recievers in Reggie Wayne and Marvin Harrison he's pretty much guaranteed to throw for close to 30 touchdowns.I've debated some on number 2 but decided to go with Tom Brady, if for no other reason then the addition of Randy moss. Brady always find a way towards the top of the fantasty hill and having a reciever capable of catching 15 touchdowns in a season only helps his cause. Add on to that the fact that the Pats are solid on both sides of the ball and you can bet that Brady and Moss will get their fair share of opportunintes.Most people would select Carson Palmer as... | |
| | I predicted the win, and the MVP!!! | | I predicted Indianapolis would win this years 2007 Super Bowl and that Peyton Manning would be the MVP. I said he'd throw 2 touchdown passes (one to Reggie Wayne, which he did and one to Harrison, which he did not) and they'd get one rushing touchdown, which they did not. The Bears Defense has been good this whole season.....despite minor losses along the way.....but their D has brought them all the way down to the wire.....Offensively they have 5 recievers and a pair of runningbacks that are out of this world. Don't forget about that physical O-Line........That's why Rex Grossman is who he is.....Now for the Colts......The beginning of the season they stumbled along but they stood their ground eventually..... Their Defence was lowly ranked though Even as they had one of the highest scoring Offenses in the league. Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, Richard Adai, And The Sgt. | | Play Off Predictions! | | This is perhaps the most exciting week of any football season, the divisional round of the playoffs, in particualr this year (especially in the AFC) is about as even matched and full of potential classic matchups. Let's take a closer look as I also give my predictions up to this year's Super Bowl champion.divisional Round:
AFC:
San Diego vs. New England PatriotsThis one has two teams that are not superior in any particular way but are very good in all three areas, offense, defense, and special teams. I belive this one will come down to a steady dose of LT2 wearing down the Patriot defense while Rivers goes to Gates and Mccardell to convert crucial 3rd downs until they give it to Tomlinson to finish off the drives. The Patriots won't be able to run and have no reliable receivers to consistantly keep drives alive, so unless they can break at least 5 huge plays this one won't be as close as some people think. The intriguing matchup is wiley veteran Tom Brady against essentially a rookie QB in Rivers.Indianapolis vs. BaltimoreWOW what a match up in this one (and it doesn't matter where you look either, you will see a great battle).
