| Nfl Draft: The day the dream come true for alot of young men! | | So the day is here the day that every Nfl Team, Nfl Fan, & College Players entering the draft look forward to since the end of the nfl season. This starts a career for these young players and also makes some of them instant rich. I am a diehard football fan who loves this day. Its not like game day or the superbowl but so many young men getting a chance to make money after giving up alot of there time. The NFL Draft is now a huge event and love watching the draft day special. Than watching all the nfl fans that take it on the road and head to the draft. What a weekend. What are your take on the NFL Draft? Do you like it? Is it hyped up to much? | |
| | The NFL Draft | | So tomorrow is the first day of the NFL draft. I love watching the draft, and make a point to tivo it every year to make sure I don't miss the picks of my favorite team, the Jaguars. The Jags have a high pick this year, so I'm hoping that they land a pretty good player at that spot. The excitement and anticipation after hearing what player your team picked is unmatched by any other offseason occurrence in any other sport.
Here's my mock draft top 5:
1. Matt Stafford-He's got all the tools, but he just wasn't that great in college. Most likely to be a bust IMO.
2. Aaron Curry-Can't-miss prospect.
3. Jason Smith-He's a beast, another Jake Long?
4. Mark Sanchez-Inexperienced, but his stock has been skyrocketing. This may be a trade pick too.
5. Brian Orakpo-Lots of talent, great pass rusher.
Personally, I think watching the highlight footage of the recently picked player is the most entertaining part of the actual draft. What do you guys think? Anyone with a mock draft of their own? Any critiques of my mock draft? | |

| | NFL draft discussion | | Well the big day is coming up Saturday. So how many football fans do we have on mylot. I mean real football, the one you don't kick very much.As a Dolphin fan I'm excited about what Parcells will be doing. I think he goes with Clay Matthews USC linebacker for the first round #25. Many think he will go for a Cornerback like Darius Butler or Vontae Davis. I doubt he goes Wide Receiver. Parcells has said in the past that he think Wide Receivers are a dime a dozen so I think he may wait for the later orunds to fill that position.Anyway I'm going down to Dolphin Stadium for the big free draft party. Should be a great time. | |

| NFL Draft this weekend!!!! Is your team taking "the best player available"? | | Just got finished writing my NFL Draft Guide(now for sale on my website(nudge,nudge) and it is still amazes how some of these people responsible for their teams drafts,such as GM,owners,coaches,etc. don't seem to have a clue about what to do when it comes to drafting. All this talk about we'll take the "best player available" always seems like a joke to me and it's no wonder why some of these teams continue to suck while others remain at the top of the heap!Let's look at the Lions for instance. With the number 1 pick in the draft this year, it is speculated by many that QB Matthew Stafford from Georgia or LB Aaron Curry from Wake Forest are looking more and more to be the favorites over T Jason Smith of Baylor. WHY????? OK,Daunte Culpepper isn't what he used to be, but he has slimmed down again and could definitely help improve this team if he can stay healthy and IF HE HAS SOME BLOCKING! Another factor here is the fact that there will be other QB's still on the board later in the draft that could come in and challenge for a starting role, as well as the fact that they could draft another QB next year if things don't work out for Culpepper this season, so sorry folks, but to me... | |

I have previewed the draft and am very happy with thier picks of paul polpuslnzy, and marshawn lynch.Although the bills lost some good players this year, we got 2 big players, who i will think will somewhat compensate for the loss.
