I blame Russell for his lack of playing time, had he not had the long hold out he may have found himself already starting. Draft predictions? | | Now that all the bowl games are over, what do you think the rankings for the Draft elligible QBs looks like?Troy Smith didn't really have the height anyways, and getting crushed in his dismal performance against Florida tonight didn't help. Brady Quinn set an insane number of records at ND, but he too got spanked in a bowl game. Oddly enough, both by the same scores of 41-14.Even though the combines and the draft are a ways off, who do you think will come out on top for QBs? Also, do you think Oakland will use their pick to make a QB #1?I don't know if JaMarcus Russell from LSU will be the top QB, but he definitely improved his stock against ND. He has more than enough size, but really Notre Dame was quite overrated this season in my opinion so the bowl game wasn't really that much of a test. I guess we will have to wait until tomorrow when he announces his intentions. I imagine though with the toppling of Quinn and Smith, he has to like his first round odds. | |

| | Who's Going First In The 2007 NFL Draft? | | With the Oakland Raiders having the first selection this year, who do you think they are going to draft. Obviously, the Raiders need a QB, but the question is, will they draft one or trade for one before the draft? I have heard rumours of the Raiders possibly trading Randy Moss to the Packers for Brent Farve. I don't think that is a wise decision. Farve only has one more year to go, it would be a waste, especially if they went ahead and drafted WR Calvin Johnson because they would then need a WR. I think they should just go ahead and draft Brady Quinn. Jamarcus Russell is good, but overall, I think that Quinn is going to be a better QB. Anyways, what do you think? | |

My Picks
1. Oakland Raiders - JaMarcus Russell, QB, LSU
One thing Oakland has never had is a mobile quarterback that throws better than he can run. This would be a great pick for Oakland.
2. Detroit Lions - Troy Smith, QB, Ohio State
Troy Smith showed what he could do this year and has won the Heisman Trophy. I personally believe Russell is a better QB on a worse team right now so I think Troy Smith will be chosen 2nd.
3. Cleveland Browns - Aaron Ross, CB, Texas
Cleveland has a young QB, a veteran line, a productive RB, a tight end, and 3 good WR so now it is time to beef up the defense. Who better than the 2 time Jim Thorpe award winner.
4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Calvin Johnson, WR, Georgia Tech
I think Calvin Johnson will leave for the draft this year and do a great job in the draft. Tampa Bay has some Old receivers and its time to start a new Generation of them. I believe Johnson is the best receiver in the draft right now.
